Dropped my scooter in this week for a service at Retrospective Scootersprior to commuting to work by Vespa from April; a good idea to get it given a good once over before getting back in the saddle.
I previously added a post on a mystery 1950s Milan Vespa rally. Auro Meotto has now been able to enlighten me, after he found details of the event in an old copy he owns of Motociclismo magazine.
Whilst at the VVC Bamburgh event I noticed that several members had a rather neat way of fixing their VVC banners to the front leg shield. So I have copied their idea and am now just passing it on to yourselves.
New VVC member, Nigel Shuttleworth, sent me an email along with an original article he wrote, some three years ago, for Morton's ‘Real Classic’ (motorcycle magazine) - explaining the ins and outs of Bio-Ethanol in fuel.
It's been a good All Hallowes Eve so far, having the day off work always makes for a happy day! It’s also been the perfect day for a warm, sunny ride, rounding October off very nicely.
VVC members Neil Humphries and Roger Green, the duo behind Wessex Scooters, missed the recent VVC annual general meeting as they were pushing the Ecooter range of fully electric scooters, at the NEC in Birmingham.

The title of Wendy van ‘t Klooster’s photo certainly captures the essence of this wonderful country. I love the uniform colours and how the chameleon-like Vespa 50 Special is camouflaged by its surroundings.

The story of Pete Butcher's gorgeous 1969 Vespa Rally 180 was told in the latest VVC JOURNAL, autumn issue (No.80). Pete has decided he has too many scooters and the Rally is now up for grabs.

It's not quite the end of the season, nearly though. We've just had the last VVC rally of the year at Bamburgh earlier this month and the club's October 19th Annual General Meeting will bring the curtain down on 2019.
Bold were the colours, beautiful were the scooters and anyone there, was there to be seen. Fast becoming the UK's catwalk for scootering, Brighton Bank Holiday delivered.
