Riding our Vespas has been somewhat curtailed, which presents an opportunity to see what we’re all up to tinkering away on in our collective sheds, workshops and garages.
Marshall ‘Chuck’ Swonnell carried ‘celebrity’ status in scootering circles, not just within the VVC, and for many years could be seen on many national and international rallies and events riding his Vespa or Lambretta scooters.

You might think that setting up your vintage Vespa to put out in excess of 50hp powered by a 300cc engine, would not apply to the genteel environs of the VVC.. you’d probably be right but I know at least one member mad enough to try it!
