I received the latest newsletter yesterday from Maskes Vespa Klassiekers in Rijen, Holland - a couple of things I thought VVC members may appreciate knowing..
“Team Maskes is enjoying summer holidays. So the shop is closed from 13 till 29th of July. Ordering online will give you a nice 15% discount and your order is shipped the 30th of July. Don't miss out...”
“In the next weeks a nice Struzzo and Sprint will come online. For now, this amazing V31 is in our online showroom as well. Check it out...”
A word of warning from Maskes if riding your classic in the Netherlands…
“Do pay attention to the following; the ethanol level of the Dutch Euro 95 will rise to 10% ethanol in the near future. In Belgium this is already reality as in Germany with the E10. We are experiencing the bad influence this has on classic engines. The aluminium of the carb. is being affected and the cylinder is wearing out way quicker. Besides that we notice more stalling (especially with tuned engines) when using 10% ethanol.
So; please use Euro 98 or competition 102 if you can. Otherwise using Aspen can be an alternative.
Many thanks to Team Maskes for passing this on and I’m sure will be of interest to our VVC members - get your orders placed by July 30th to receive your 15% online discount!
