The Veteran Vespa Club Committee:
Honorary President – Frank Brookes
Frank trained as a Vespa mechanic. Frank was a very active competition rider, including being part of the Vespa Club of Britain team in several European Vespa regularity championships.
Frank formed the club, catering exclusively for older Vespas in 1964. He organised the first Veteran Vespa run from Tattenham Corner, Epsom, to Brighton in 1964. Since then the Veteran Vespa club has gone from strength to strength. Although he doesn’t do any actual riding these days, Frank continues to take an interest in the club’s activities.
